About our guides

How we write our guides.

Our guides are written by the people who buy Hong Kong media for a living. Here is how they are made, where the numbers come from and how to tell us if something is wrong.

01
Who writes them
Every guide is written and reviewed by the Hypertree Media Team: the media planners, buyers and producers in our Central office who plan, negotiate and book MTR, bus, tram, billboard, TV, KOL and Xiaohongshu campaigns for clients.
02
Where the prices come from
Prices are indicative HKD ranges based on media owners’ 2026 rate cards and campaigns we have planned or booked. Media owners change rates, packages and availability, so a final quote always depends on dates, sites, flight length and production.
03
How we keep them current
Every guide shows the date it was last updated. We review a guide when a media owner changes its rates or formats, and every guide is reviewed at the start of each year.
04
Commercial disclosure
Hypertree is a media buying agency. Our guides link to our own services, and we earn a fee when brands plan or book media through us. Case studies and client names are shown with permission.
05
Three languages, written for the reader
Guides are published in English, Traditional Chinese for Hong Kong readers and Simplified Chinese for Mainland and Greater Bay Area readers. Chinese versions are localised, not machine-translated.
